Lindsay Everly & The Evergreens are a Northern California–based Americana trio blending folk and bluegrass roots with ethereal three-part harmonies into a sound that’s both nostalgic and new. Fronted by singer-songwriter Lindsay Everly, the band features Michael Brown, a gifted lead vocalist and harmony singer, acoustic and bass guitarist. On lead guitar is Sam Smiley, a master of Roy Nichols–style telecaster picking and carrier the band's signature electric sound. Together, they create an airy, cinematic soundscape that moves effortlessly between warmth and the rougher edges of life.

Their music, written by Everly, explores themes of travel, belonging, and the untamed spirit of the Wild West — songs that feel timeless yet deeply personal. Though the three hail from different corners of the United States, they found each other in Northern California, blending their voices and instruments to carve out a fresh, heartfelt sound in modern Americana and California Country.

Michael Brown

Lead/Harmony Singer, Acoustic & Bass Guitar

Born and raised in the countryside outside Scranton, Pennsylvania, Michael Brown grew up to the soundtrack of his mother’s country records. After discovering drums in his neighbor’s garage, he soon picked up a guitar, formed a band, and found his voice as a frontman. A natural multi-instrumentalist, Michael’s toured up and down the East Coast opening for acts like My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, and has performed extensively across Texas and California. Now based in Fairfax, California, his sound bridges the energy of rock with the warmth of folk — a style shaped by a lifetime of playing, writing, and living music.

Sam Smiley

Harmony Singer, Lead Guitar

Rooted in the diverse musical landscape of Northern California, Petaluma-based guitarist Sam Smiley has built a sound that merges the raw storytelling of Americana with the honest grit of blues. His lifelong journey on the electric guitar has evolved into creating vivid tone soundscapes and intensely melodic playing. Drawing influence from atmospheric innovators like Bill Frisell and masters of vibe and tone like Buddy Miller, he steps onto the stage with a deep commitment to serve the song. He has carried this dynamic sound to venues and festivals nationwide, from Chicago to San Francisco, always connecting the audience to the rich, evolving history of American electric guitar.
